Lead Paint Inspection Service in the New Hope PA

Lead Paint Inspections Service in Philadelphia & South Jersey

Lead Paint Inspection Service in the New Hope Neighborhood of Bucks County

Located in Bucks County, PA, New Hope is a small town that has a big city feel. It is home to eclectic shopping, riverside dining, world-class theater, and lovely historic neighborhoods. Although these homes still look beautiful, they were likely built during a time when using lead-based paint was the norm.

That means that many homes in New Hope may host this hidden danger in their walls, soil, and water.

Bay Hill Environmental is a licensed and certified Lead Paint Inspection service. We service homeowners, investors, landlords, and property management companies in New Hope and the surrounding areas of Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

We inspect homes and yards for Lead-based Paint (LBP) and provide Lead-Free and Lead-Safe certifications.

The Dangers of Having Lead-Based Paint in Your New Hope Home

Lead paint is very toxic to people. Unfortunately, this wasn’t known before 1978, which means many older New Hope homes contain lead-based paint that can still be a danger today.  Even if it’s covered with layers of newer, safe paint, it’s still possible that lead dust can escape and contaminate your home and yard.

If you live in Bucks County and have young children, they are at risk of developmental damage from lead. It can damage a number of different organs, including the brain. This can lead to permanent brain damage and learning disabilities.

Don’t put your children at risk, especially when affordable testing services are available in the greater Bucks County area!

If your home was built prior to March of 1978, you may wish to have the paint tested for your own peace of mind. Even if you don’t plan on selling or renting out the property anytime soon, it can still pose a danger to you and your family. Call Bay Hill Environmental today at 215-284-0086 to request a quote or make an appointment.

Laws Regarding Lead Testing and Certification in Bucks County

In 2011, the city code of Philadelphia was updated to include laws regarding lead paint testing. These regulations are included in the amended Chapter 6-800 and PM-102.0. They apply to any property built before March of 1978 that is being rented to families who have at least one child age six or younger. The regulations require the landlord to have a lead inspection done, and the property must be certified lead-safe or lead-free.

Contact Bay Hill Environmental for Lead Testing Services in New Hope

If you’re in need of lead testing services, our team is here to assist you. Bay Hill Environmental makes use of the latest technology to determine if lead is present in the paint that was used in your home.

Your Bucks County home and land will be inspected with a special XRF Gun which identifies the presence of lead – even if it’s buried beneath coats and coats of paint! We also test the soil and water in your home for lead contamination.

If the inspection results in a positive presence of lead, the next stage of the inspection is to determine if there’s any evidence of active lead dust in the environment. For this, we use specially treated dust wipes on various surfaces of the dwelling. These wipes are sent to a lab for analysis.
